Working Towards a Better Understanding of Software for Humans in the AI Era
Program comprehension is a vital software engineering and maintenance activity. It is necessary to facilitate reuse, inspection, maintenance, reverse engineering, reengineering, migration, and extension of existing software systems.
ICPC, formerly IWPC, gives researchers and industry practitioners a venue to present and discuss both the state of the art and the state of the practice in the general area of program comprehension. The series began as a one-day workshop in Orlando FL in 1992.

ICPC 2027 will be held in Dublin, Ireland, 25–26 April 2027, co-located with ICSE 2027
The research track deadline is 5 November 2026. Tools, ERA, RENE and Journal-First tracks follow through December.
